Paintng in work: Holding Anole, 22x28" acrylic on panel.

This painting is a little auto biographical and a kind of penance, even though I'm not religious. When i was a boy growing up along the space coast of Florida I use to catch these chameleon like lizards, called Anoles, and give them to my cats. since becoming an adult, I have always felt bad about what I had done; so now I gently take tem away from the cats and give them back to the woods. This painting I decided to use a pop surrealist style to magnify the sentiment i hold for these beautiful native Floridian animals.
